PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS

El PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS, se usa para hablar de acciones que estaban en proceso en el pasado antes de que ocurriera otra acción de la que estamos hablando. Equivale al pluscuamperfecto en castellano.
En castellano, equivale a expresiones como: Había estado estudiando
Para conjugar el PAST PERFECT SIMPLE, existe una fórmula, que es la siguiente:

PRONOMBRE + HAD + BEEN + VERBO ACABADO EN -ING

Ahora veremos algunas frases en past perfect continuous de ejemplo:

Veamos cómo ha ido el ejercicio anterior…

Yo había estado jugando a fútbol.
I had been playing football.
Tú habías estado bailando.
You had been dancing.
Él había estado viajando por el mundo.
He had been travelling around the world.
Ella había estado comiendo mucho.
She had been eating a lot.
Eso había estado cambiando.
It had been changing.
Nosotros habíamos estado cantando.
We had been singing.
Vosotros habíais estado viviendo en América.
You had been living in America.
Ellos habían estado corriendo.
They had been running.

Para hacer la INTERROGATIVA I LA NEGATIVA, no necesitamos ningún verbo auxiliar, lo único que tenemos que hacer es lo siguiente:

Para la INTERROGATIVA:
Lo único que tenemos que hacer es girar el pronombre y el verbo TO HAVE, como en el siguiente ejemplo:

Para la NEGATIVA:
Tenemos que añadir NOT después del verbo HAVE, como en el ejemplo siguiente:
